The Venova is a completely new type of wind instrument that offers the expressiveness of a single reed instrument whilst using a simple recorder-like fingering system. Easy to maintain and extremely durable, the Venova is compact and light in weight, allowing you to enjoy music anywhere.
To create an instrument that had all these features, Yamaha’s design team developed the innovative branched pipe technology which offers players a wide variety of ways to bring music into their life. The Venova can be taken anywhere. The pads are durable and can withstand a variety of conditions and the material used for the body of the instrument has been chosen to complement this. The result is an instrument that is fun to play anywhere and in wide variety of styles.

Fingerings based on the soprano recorder (convertible to either Baroque or German)
Lightweight and durable plastic body and keys
Low-maintenance synthetic pads
Uses any standard soprano saxophone mouthpiece and reeds (includes a Yamaha 4C equivalent and a synthetic reed).
