  • Condition: The jar is clear but has a very light tint of amethyst of earlier glass in some lighting. It measures 6 7/8 inches high without the lid, 7 1/8 inches high with the lid on and 3 3/8 inches across the sides. It is in nice clean condition, glass is shiny and bright with no haze, no chips, no cracks. The small jar with rose is a new jar, not included and not for sale..

    Description

    Waffle Squares Plaid
    Antique
    Quart Canning Fruit Jar or Canister with Zinc Lid - There is a large number 5 embossed in the base. The front has a large section with none of the plaid ribs measuring about 3 inches wide by 2 3/4 inches high so you can place a label here identifying the contents. These jars were used as canisters in kitchens and with Hoosier cabinets.
    The jar is clear but has a very light tint of amethyst of earlier glass in some lighting. It measures 6 7/8 inches high without the lid,  7 1/8 inches high with the lid on and 3 3/8 inches across the sides. The zinc lid has a porcelain lining. Ball is embossed on the top of the zinc lid.
    The jar is in nice clean condition, glass is shiny and bright with no haze, no chips, no cracks. The small jar with rose on my sill is a new jar, not included and not for sale.  It is just always on my window sill.
    The canning jar weighs well over one pound so shipping weight will be in the 2 to 3 pound range. The package will be mailed priority with insurance and tracking. I can combine shipping with any other items to save you money on shipping.
