This is a 27" strand of millefiore glass beads made in Italy, in 1960-1970. The strand was hand knotted and each bead has minuet brass filigree end caps. The screw clasp is typical of this period and an indicator that the beads are authentic. This strand is exceptional for it is graduated with the largest bead measuring 16mm" to the smallest bead measuring 10mm.
