    Description

    Up for bid is this beautiful very early SCA BEECH-NUT TRADE MARK food jar from the BEECH-NUT PACKING Co. of CANAJOJARIE, NEW YORK. This jar is 4 5/8 inches tall, is 3 inches in diameter and held a pint of product. It has a ground lip and great embossing. This dug jar has been sun tinted over a period of time. It is in very good condition with no chips or dings, it does have inner and outer stain and some very light scratches overall. Also on the very edge of the lip is a ½ inch flash. As shown in the pictures. I mention and show everything for accuracy.
    Beech-Nut’s was started in Canajoharie, New York in 1891 by Raymoand John Zieley and their brothers who founded the Imperial Packing Co. The company was incorporated as the Beech-Nut Packing Company in 1899 and expended its product line to many products over the years. It still is the Beech-Nut Nutrition Company today.
