I bought these beads for my jewelry store in the early 80’s meaning to clean then up and restring them to sell. They were quite expensive, old and unusual I was told. I sadly do not remember the details only that are very old African trade beads. I have several bead resource books (one for sale here on eBay) but have been unable to find the exact bead. They look like the faceted antique Bohemian Czech clear tube beads, especially prized by the Fulani nomads of North and Western Africa. However I do not claim to be an expert. These clear beads seem much more organic than the chez beads I have seen. have lots of bubbles and are dirty and some damaged on the ends and one clearly broken. Aprox 1 3/4” long each The are strung together on string with eye beads and a few green glass beads. Strand is 25” long . Please see photos as they are an important part of the description.
