Description
This spoon is made from 100% recycled aluminum recovered from US-made bombs that did not explode, they were dropped during the bombing campaign from 1964-’73. Approximately 4,000,000,000 pounds of bombs were dropped, many were cluster bombs. Today children find the defective ones with predictable results, sadly. While in Laos recently I donated to the campaign to find and remove these bombs, I also bought several spoons which were made locally (in Laos) from the recycled aluminum.
No matter your point of view on the war in Southeast Asia, this is your chance to own a piece of history that you can actually use on a daily basis!
