The current owner has enjoyed this handsome jar, with its embossed design and rich brown glaze, as art (shelf display). However, it may also be useful as a decorative container.
Jar dimensions –
Ht: 5.25," Top diameter: 5.75," and Base diameter: 6.25"
Please examine the photos to see 2 small chips on the jar's rim. The chips on the inside of the outer rim fall near where a 7 and 8 would be on a clock. That photo is taken from above the jar, looking down and inside to the bottom. The next two photos are of the jar base, bottom, with a close-up of the pottery mark. And the photo with no picture is taken from the back of the jar. - The lighter and darker shades/tints of brown are how it appears in two different lights.
