Parker 51 Vacumatic in Black & Gold Filled Excellent

Description

This Parker 51 Vacumatic in India Black with a 1/10 14K gold filled cap (9 vertical lines and plain band), a Single Jeweled model, is in excellent condition. Other than some light “drawer wear” and the tiny divot located on the barrel where the bottom of the cap meets the barrel when capped, (shown magnified in the corresponding photograph), there are no cosmetic flaws on cap or barrel. The filling system has recently been professionally restored, and the nib is a smooth, fine medium. I cannot quite distinguish the year of the date code: I believe it is a 6, but it may be a 5, with one dot signifying it was manufactured in the third quarter of either 1945 or -46. Likewise, I was unable to do photographic justice to the barrel imprint which reads PARKER 51 / MADE IN USA. The imprint is actually in very good condition and is clearly legible.
