Outstanding Early Snaphaunce And Incredibly Rare Snaphaunce Tool

Exceptional condition and very early set consisting of a snaphaunce lock and a snaphaunce / flint hammer & tool. Just amazing. Probably the nicest ones I've ever seen. And I have only seen a few of the tools in my life, and those were in museums or very high-end collections.. This one looks to be complete and in amazing condition for its age. Both of these are likely from the 1600' to 1700's.  The origin of these Maybe Moroccan or African?  But the Engraving and file work is very, very nice. The lock has a couple inlaid gold pieces. This was an exceptionally crafted lock for its time even including a sliding powder pan cover.

The springs on the lock function. I am afraid to pull the hammer back far enough to engage the small hammer lock. But everything appears to function although I am not an expert on these so I will not guarantee functionality. These are definitely display worthy/ museum-worthy items for a very high-end gun or militaria collection. Good luck upgrading either one of these with better condition. These are awesome!
