It is about 8" tall without the lid on. It is about 6 3/4" across the bottom.  Measurements are approximate. It is made of wood and leather. The lid does not fasten down.The last two photos are of the lid. Maybe it was made that way or a piece is missing. The lid just sits on top.  Please look at all photos because they are part of the description.
