Lytle Novelty Co. replica Walther P38 pistol.
It is made of solid cast aluminum. There are no moving parts and there is no way of ever making this an actual firearm. After extensive research I found out that these were originally made in the 1930's through the 1950's and were originally used for training by the US Military during WWII & As Movie Props. Afterwards they were sold as toys and advertised in the back of magazines like Field and Stream and Boy's Life. The paint on this gun is in fair condition considering its age and even shows signs of holster wear which leads me to believe that it was used for training...This Sucker Is HEAVY !!
This company made about 17 different Cast Aluminum
replicas..But it seems this is the most hard to find ! One RARE Toy Gun or Movie Prop from 70 years ago !!
This replica gun contains the colored markings required by law including a permanently attached orange plug.
