Silverlining is a SCSI drive management application that lets you set up, modify and troubleshoot Macintosh SCSI hard drives and removable cartridge drives. Silverlining is designed primarily to perform actions on locally attached SCSI drives and removable cartridge drives. Use Silverlining to:
Partition a drive into multiple volumes to make it easier to organize files.
Resize partitions without re-initializing
Password-protect partitions to restrict unauthorized users from accessing data on partitions
Specify which volumes are automatically mounted at startup
Test a drive to determine whether there are problems with the hardware components or media
Optimize a partition or volume to improve drive performance
Add or update the Silverlining driver on hard drives and removable cartridges.
Silverlining is fully compatible with all classic Macintosh models, Macintosh System Software 6.x and 7.x and SCSI manager 4.3.
