KILGORE RANGER CAST IRON 1940 SILVER FINISH CAP GUN WITH RED GRIPS Needs Adjusted VINTAGE B-
NEEDS an adjustment because hammer flips freely (spring).
Also the trigger often sticks. Needs cleaned and shined and oiled.
I did none of that. You get the gun as I found it.
Grips show a bit of warping.
You really need to see all the pictures of this one to get the idea.
I’m not an expert, so look at the pictures and judge for yourself.
HEAVY GUN cause Cast Iron.
Not as clean inside as my other guns being offered, but may be much better outside. I will not try to tinker.
I am not in anyway a cap gun expert. But I know a good piece when I see one, and this one’s nice. Not 100% functional. .
Look at the pictures you be the judge.
Ask questions if you have any although by looking at the photos you probably will know just about as much about it as I do.

This is a vintage toy cap gun with a Silver finish that I found at a Louisville, KY area estate sale. It is a 1KILGORE RANGER CAST IRON 1940 SILVER FINISH CAP GUN WITH RED GRIPS Needs Adjusted VINTAGE B- (see pictures). It is in good used condition, (somewhat unclean INSIDE. The outer finish looks nice ( see pictures). One of The Bright Red  has ZERO cracks in it. There is no physical damage that I can see (see pictures). The trigger mechanism does not work as intended and when it does , not smoothly. It does not cock, but I do not think this model was supposed to. not 100%sure what the action is,
The finish is consistent and there appears to be a bit of surface oxidation which should rub out.
There is evidence of some rust in corners (See the photos).
I have not in any way tried to clean this up. This is how I found it.
I have other guns which are ALMOST pristine. They are already listed eventually. They a bit even nicer than this one.
