C1983 PARKER 75 PREMIER ATHENES MODEL 18K MEDIUM NIB FOUNTAIN PEN FRANCE

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Vintage Circa 1983 Parker 75 Fountain Pen in Athenes Model with 18K Gold FRANCE NIB.
This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, ultrasonically cleaned, put back together, and now is in wonderful writing condition. This Parker 75 Premier was manufactured from 1983 to 1991.
I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Hand polished the 22K Gold Electroplate Cap Clip, Cap, Barrel, and End Tassies. I have cleaned the 18K Nib and Feed/Stem, and Section. I have cleaned and polished the barrel and cap to bring back the shine of the metal. This Parker 75 Premier displays brightly and in incredibly great condition. This Parker 75 Premier is a Athenes model made between 1983 and 1993 and measures 5 3/8" capped and 6 1/8" posted.
The fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no dings, dents, or repairs with the slip cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap banding sports a faceted cap band and has two black onyx jewels at the ends. The Cap Lip is stamped with, "PARKER FRANCE and the French Parker hallmarks". There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. The Athenes model has the 22K Gold Plated finish with Black Lacquer pinstriping - this is a sophisticated and classy design.
This Parker 75 has an ink converter filling unit and I have tested with water and fills as it should. It is a Parker factory ink converter.
The NIB is fitted with an 18K Medium and is marked with, "PARKER 750 FRANCE 18K with the PP Arrow Hallmark and Eagle Head Hallmark". When measuring the actual tip of the 18K NIB it measures at .68mm when measuring with digital calipers. The back of the feed shows an "M" for Medium. When writing a sample, this NIB writes with a fine to broad line/stroke. The fine stroke measures at .48mm with light pressure and the broad line/stroke measures 1.06mm when measured with digital calipers under medium to firm pressure. The nib is a very smooth writer. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue-Black Ink.
This Parker 75 Premier Athenes Model Fountain Pen is an extremely gorgeous fountain pen that is also a wonderful smooth writer. I would consider this Parker 75 to grade in Excellent to Near Mint Condition
and is deserving of a great collection. It is ready to write or just add to your writing arsenal collection.
