Description

Buffalo Nickel Album Complete except '13 S V II and Error Coins (18/17 and three legged "37 D).  This is a nice Whitman Album in good condition full of 63 different Buffaloes, many of them in above-average condition for their date.
The pictures (all the grades are mine-see if you agree with me):
First and Second Pictures: the seven highest-value coins in the collection.  '13 S VI in VG-F, '13 D VII in VG-F, '14 D in F-VF, '15 S in VG-F, '17 D in VF, '18 D in VF, '21 S in VG -F, and '26 S in VG.
Third and Fourth Pictures: most of the coins in EF or better.  The coins that I grade Unc are '31S (which has some small gray spots on the reverse) , '36, '37, '37 D, '38 D which is BU.
Fifth through Tenth pictures: all the coins in the album pages, with the plastic slides pulled back to eliminate shine.  Remember when trying to match the obverse coins with the reverse coins, the pages of the reverses are up-side-down.
Eleventh Picture: the album.
The cumulative catalog value of this collection runs close to the K mark.
The Buffalo Nickel, as many know, was designed by James Earle Fraser.  The  Native American on the obverse was modeled after three guys, who squabbled afterwards about who was the main model for the design.  The buffalo model was supposedly "Black Diamond" in the New York Central Park Zoo.  If so, he may have been chubbier than a bull Buffalo in the wild, having nowhere to stampede to in the Zoo confines.  Many critics state that this is the most "American" design on a coin, and I agree.  I find it refreshing after allegorical "Lady Liberties" and Classical symbols of power, war, peace, etc.  Surely, the Native American Guy (whichever model it turns out to have been) is the antithesis of Lady Liberty.  His main competition for good looks is the Native American Guy on Bela Lyon Pratt's gold quarter and half eagles.

Note – eBay may or may not add a sales tax depending on each state’s requirements. We do not collect it.
Also, we list our items for mostly sales in the U.S. The postage noted is for U.S. sales only. If you are not in the U.S., please be advised that eBay will add a separate shipping charge for their overseas shipping from Erlanger, KY. Again, we have no control over that amount. Thank You.
Grading:
All grading is our best opinion based on the official ANA Grading Standards for coins, Friedberg or Cuhaj for currency and Scotts for stamps.
Please examine the photos closely to form your own opinion as to grade and bid based on that.
We acknowledge that grading is semi-subjective and that a difference of opinions can occur even among experts.
If you decide to certify an item and it does not meet your grade expectation, that is a cost born by the buyer and is not a reason to return the item.
This statement is not applicable if the item is already certified by a professional certification service like NGC, PMG or PCGS.

Terms of Sale
Our return policy is simple. You are
guaranteed
to be satisfied. If you, as the buyer, are unhappy with your purchase, you will have 14 days in which to return it, no questions asked. The only exception to this deals with silver bullion. The price fluctuations in precious metals can sometimes be extreme, both up and down. When we sell bullion, we always sell under spot and let you know when the spot price was applied. If the price goes up, it is in your favor. If the price goes down, it is not a reason to return the bullion coins. Prices fluctuate – that is the precious metals market.
We are hopeful that the pictures and descriptions are such that there should be no reason to return an item. If you do wish to return the item for any reason, our return policy applies
. I
f you do return an item, we will refund your payment minus shipping and handling costs upon receipt of the item or replace the item with an agreed upon substitute, again, after receipt of the item.
Should we feel that anyone is abusing the return policy such as sending back items repeatedly, it will be to our discretion as to whether to continue selling items to that individual.
Service:
E&L Coins strives to give 5 STAR service by providing quality coins, currency or stamps at a reasonable price. We state up front what our policies are, shipping rates and shipping frequency. When you give 4 STARS, it may seem like a great score for instance a 4 in Shipping Time means "Quickly", eBay, however, considers this to be a sub-par mark. Their standards require all sellers to maintain a 4.8 rating and above or be penalized with higher fees and more.
If you are pleased with a transaction, please respond with all 5 STARS – THANK YOU. We will ALWAYS provide a positive rating to you as the buyer once a payment has been made. We hope you will consider providing positive feedback to us upon receipt of your item. If you are not pleased, let us know via email and we will work to make it a 5 STAR experience.
