Vintage / Antique molded glass beads made in Bohemia better known as the Czech Republic specifically for being traded into Africa in the 1920s-1950's. Some people consider these beads antique and some collectors consider these vintage as specimens can be anywhere from 93 to 63 years old. Among the Fulani women of Mali these trade beads were used during weddings being presented to the bride, hence the name evolved wedding beads. The clear bead of the set measures 25.05mm long by 14.83mm wide. These beads are worn everyday by some African women and traditionally on their wedding day. This Czech bead set is in good overall rustic condition with some wear. Perfect for jewelry making or adding to your African trade bead collection.
