Antique Bisque Tobacco Humidor depicting Frederick the Great Bust - King PT

Offered here for your consideration is a
rare, figural painted bisque humidor or dresser jar depicting the Prussian King - Frederick the Great (or Friedrich der Grosse). A full bust with shoulders comprises the base of the jar. A tricorn hat forms the lid.
Ruling from throughout the middle part of the 18th century, Frederick was the last King of Prussia and the longest reigning Hohenzollern kings. He was an enlightened Monarch, thought to have been homosexual, and eventually succeeded by his nephew, Frederick William II.
This item dates to the late 19th century. It is in overall good, as-pictured used estate condition with
some firing flaws to the body, some light edge wear, some light scratches and losses to the painted decoration, some very fine and light glaze scratches here and there, and other signs of expected  light wear consistent with age .
The base has impressed marks.
