    Description

    (
Bidders with less than 10 Feedback Must Contact Me Before bidding!)
    This is a 1947 Parker 51, full-sized,
    Vacumatic filler in
    Cordovan Brown
. An early "51" vac-filler in very nice COSMETIC condition.  This pen has been TOTALLY RESTORED including a BRAND-NEW diaphragm on 9/27/21 (see picture above).
The cap is  stamped "1/10 16K gold-filled." The cap pattern is tight, vertical parallel lines. The clip has the earlier, desirable BLUE DIAMOND clip with original factory blue enamel (see pics). The clip is strong and tight. The pen writes very nicely with a clean, smooth, FINE line.
    The
    2-line
    barrel
    IMPRINT
says "PARKER "51" ".7."  On the second line it says "MADE IN U.S.A."  (The barrel imprint is fully readable but a bit worn.)
The hooded Parker 51 nib is 14K.
The cap and clip show no signs of plating wear other than micro scratches and
two tiny scratches visible if you hold the cap at the right angle
    in the right light
.  On the lip of the cap the crisp
    2-line IMPRINT says (
    1st line):
    "1/10 16K GOLD FILLED";
    the
    2nd line it says:
    "MADE IN U.S.A."
    (see photo, above).
    I believe
    y
ou will be very satisfied with this fine working example of a hard-to-find 1947 Parker 51 pen in Cordovan Brown
. If you want a really great example of a 1947 vintage Parker 51 in a unusual color, that is cosmetically great and totally dependable and a joy to write with, this is it.
    (Note:
    Cordovan Brown
is the only color I could find that seems to match the color of this Parker 51 offered in 1947.  I may be wrong about the name of the color but do not think so.)
The auction starts at .98 so the highest bidder will win it.
