The date is restored (Raised Up) using an acid and water wash.
The acid actually eats away the metal around the original date that was not readable, making it more readable.
If you want one other than the next coin in the set of pictures, make sure to tell me. If someone buys one just before your purchase, you get the next one. I try to update the pictures with each purchase, but these sell fast.
